U glass is produced by calendaring and forming, named for its "U" shape cross-section. It features excellent light transmittance, heat insulation, and high mechanical strength. It is an energy-saving solution that reduces the need for metal profiles in urban and rural buildings.
Available in Normal clear, tinted blue, tinted green, and low iron (Ultra Clear). Customized sizes and patterns are available.
Our tempering process handles channel glass up to 20' long using custom ovens. Tempered U channel glass is three to four times stronger than annealed glass, reaching compression of 10,000 psi or greater.
Safety: Upon breakage, it forms small, harmless fragments ("dicing"), significantly reducing the risk of injury compared to sharp shards.
