Tinted glass is manufactured by mixing molten glass with a prescribed quantity of a tinting agent. This mixture flows through a tweel into a tin bath and then to the lehr. While floating through the molten tin, gravity and surface tension ensure the glass becomes perfectly smooth and flat on both sides.
