Low-emissive (Low-E) glass is a high-tech window glass treated with an invisible metallic oxide coating. This specialized surface reflects heat while allowing natural light to pass through. This energy-saving technology is designed to reduce energy consumption, decrease the fading of interior fabrics, and significantly increase overall indoor comfort.
How It Works: The efficiency is measured by the U-factor. Low-E glass reduces the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that enters the building without blocking visible light. In summer, it keeps heat out; in winter, it traps radiant heat inside, effectively lowering heating and cooling costs.
| Glass Type | Key Features & Performance |
|---|---|
| Offline Low-E Glass | Soft-coated metallic layers. Improved adhesion and stability for tempering and further processing in insulated units. |
| High Shading Low-E | Reduces solar heat gain through higher reflection. Shading Coefficient (SC) less than 0.5, providing excellent solar insulation. |
| Double Silver Low-E | Advanced coating suitable for various geographical locations and demanding climatic conditions. |
